Carburetors consist of three primary components. They include the fuel bowl, a metering block, and of course the main body of the carburetor. The fuel bowl's main function is to provide a fuel source reservoir for the different components of the carburetor. The metering block provides a mixing component between the delivery devices. The main body functions as the intake for the air and the outtake of the fuel. Between the three main components of the carburetor, are a variety of circuits within them. Within the circuits of the carburetor you will find the float system, the accelerator pump, the idle, the slow and the main circuits.
